Organic coconut flour is an off-white-to-yellowish colored flour with a mild coconut flavor. It is a popular base flour for gluten-free bakery and snack applications.
Our Palmfruit™ organic coconut flour is ground from shredded and dried organic coconut meat (desiccated coconut) after it has been pressed to release the virgin coconut oil. The resulting flour has a mild coconut flavor with a somewhat nutty and slightly sweet flavor.
Coconut flour contains fat, protein, and fiber — making it an excellent base flour for functional gluten-free baking. Use it in cookies, crackers, pizza crusts, muffin mixes, tortillas and snacks, or for treats and biscuits that pets are sure to love.
